Leigh Michael ‘Bubba’ Aus was born on May 24, 1983, in Granite Falls, MN; the son of Michael and Gail (Haroldson) Aus. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Granite Falls Lutheran Church and attended Yellow Medicine East High School.
‘Bubba’ was employed by Aus Floor & More in Granite Falls as a tile installer and also operated independently as Leigh Aus Flooring. He enjoyed going to We Fest, motor-homing, going to the lake, attending Winstock and hanging out with his family and friends. He loved playing with his nieces and nephews.
‘Bubba’ was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. He will always be remembered for his fun loving nature and heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Even if it meant he would have to go without. ‘Bubba’ was an amazing son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin and Godfather. He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed.
‘Bubba’ is survived by his parents- Michael and Gail Aus of Granite Falls; his brother Seth (& Deena) Aus of Wood Lake, his sister Kayla Jo (& Jordan) Anderson of Granite Falls; nephews Emmitt (also his Godson) and Gunner Aus; niece (& Goddaughter) Ellery Anderson; maternal grandmother Arlene Haroldson; paternal grandmother Nancy Aus, all of Granite Falls; a Godson Weston Snortum and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers- Glen Haroldson and Carl Aus; his aunt, Susan Hammer and an uncle, Daniel Aus.
