Lavonne Ann Schultz was born on April 14, 1938 in Montevideo, MN, the daughter of Ted and Carrie Peterson. She was baptized on April 25, 1938 in Strombeck Lutheran Church and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Salem Lutheran Church on April 6, 1952. She attended District #16 Country School and graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1956. On July 7, 1956, Lavonne was united in marriage to Earl Schultz in Salem Lutheran Church. She was very active in church activities and enjoyed working with the students and her co-workers at her job in the Montevideo Middle School Cafeteria. Lavonne was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was called from this life in the early morning hours of Saturday February 28, 2009, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN, following a sudden illness. She was 70 years of age. Surviving family include her husband Earl of Montevideo, MN; her children- Ron (& Pam) Schultz of Montevideo, MN, Larry Schultz of Montevideo, MN, Karen (& Don) VanKlompenburg of Fosston, MN, Diane (& Tom) Ellingboe of Blaine, MN and Peggy (& Bryan) Mooney of Granite Falls, MN; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters- Marlene (& Galen) Kimpling of Montevideo, MN and Kathy (& Tom) Leindecker of Montevideo, MN; one sister-in-law Irene Kruger; one brother-in-law Ervin (& Ruth) Schultz and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law Daniel Kruger and a niece- Brenda Leindecker.
