Larry Loken

Larry Roy Loken was born March 17, 1953, the son of LeRoy & Doloris Loken, in Montevideo, Minnesota. He was baptized in March of 1953 and confirmed in April of 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from the Montevideo High School. Larry was united in marriage to Pamela Waller on September 6, 1980, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a machinist for 30 years, from 1975 until his retirement in 1998, working for Plews and Rodgers in Granite Falls.Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf, and was active with Together Encounter Christ, Residents Encounter Christ and Alcoholics Anonymous. He also worked with kids in the woodshop and metal shop for 15 years. Larry was a religion teacher for 40 years and also sang in the church choir.Larry passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011, at his sister's house in Maplewood. He was 58 years of age. He is survived by his wife Pam and daughter Catie both of Granite Falls; sister Beverly Loken of Maplewood; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
