Kelly Flynn

Kelly James Flynn was born on September 11, 1987 in Montevideo, Minnesota the son of Shawn and Alida (Scott) Flynn. He passed away December 1, 2011 in Minneapolis at the age of 24 years.Kelly was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church and grew up in Granite Falls. He was confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church and attended school at YME graduating with the class of 2006. Kelly continued his education, pursuing a degree in auto body repair at Minnesota West College graduating in 2008.He was very active as a child participating in football, basketball, baseball, and wrestling. In the summers he enjoyed golfing and going to Lake Miltona with his family. Kelly hunted and was active in tae kwon do, and loved motorcycles; going on bike trips to Algona, Iowa, and Sturgis, South Dakota.Kelly worked for War Hawks Inc and painted fighter planes, Sode's Performance and was currently working at Prairies Edge Casino.He is survived by his parents, Shawn and Alida Flynn of Granite Falls; sisters: Stacy (Kris) Jacobson of Granite Falls; Jamie (fiancé Lucas Mace) Flynn of Granite Falls; nephew Alex Jacobson of Granite Falls; grandparents: Sylvia Scott of Granite Falls; and Mike and Gwen Flynn of Alexandria, Minnesota; great aunt: Jeanette Prill of Granite Falls; and other extended family.Kelly was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence "Scotty" Scott.
