Keith Roger Knox was born in Granite Falls, Minnesota on December 14, 1942 to Jesse Elmer and Dorothy Knox. He began his education in Granite Falls High School and later proudly earned his GED. After serving in the National Guard, he and his brother worked on the pipeline down into Oklahoma. He worked many years for Standard Oil in Tulsa. Upon returning to Montevideo, he enjoyed operating heavy equipment while working for Bob Lauritsen.Keith loved being outdoors; hunting and fishing and was a longtime member of the American Legion. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, his siblings, and his friends at the American Legion. His very special companion was his dog Â?MaxÂ?.Keith passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, April 22nd in Montevideo at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his daughter Tammy (Billy) Lay of Sapulpa, OK; step-children: Marilyn (Rob) Hanson of Sapulpa, OK. and Johnny Glantz of Rodgers, AK; sisters Barbara Musil of Apple Valley and Donna (Gary) Halvorson of Granite Falls; brothers Harold Knox of Pennsylvania and James (Patty) Knox of Texas; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and Beverly McReynolds, the mother of his children.In addition to his parents, J. Elmer Knox and Dorothy Knox Lewis, he was preceded in death by his sister Rosemary Anderson, his brother Robert Knox, step-daughter Teresa Booker, grandson Lance Hanson and niece Cindy Halvorson.
