Kay Arneson

Kay Frances Arneson was born October 23, 1940, the daughter of Wayne & Gladys Twitchell, in Appleton. She was baptized at the Episcopal Church in 1940 and confirmed in May of 1954 in Benson. Kay graduated from the Appleton High School in 1958 and went on to attend St. Cloud State University. Kay was united in marriage to Dale Arneson on June 17, 1962, in Appleton. They moved to Granite Falls where she worked as Dr. Niazi's secretary in the early 60?s and later started keeping the books and helped run the family business, Arneson Trucking & Arneson 66. She enjoyed her bridge club, golf, bowling, rosemalling, painting, baking cakes, rock collecting and horseback riding with the Valley Riders Saddle Club. She was very active with Granite Falls Lutheran Church where she was confirmed on November 15, 1964. She was also involved with bible study and her ladies circle. Kay passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007, at the Westwood Elderly Home. She was 67 years old. She is survived by her husband Dale; three children: Andy (Jen) of Granite Falls; Teri (Kirk) Schlemmer of Wood Lake; and Charlie (Missy) of Granite Falls; six grandchildren: Joshua, Michael, Ashely, Ethan, Jordin and Colton; great granddaughter Makyah; two brothers: Rodney "Buck" (Marilyn) Twitchell of Howard Lake and Randy (Julie Ann) Twitchell of Appleton; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.
