Katherine “Kathy” Johnson, age 58, of Montevideo, died March 13, 2019 at her home in Montevideo.
Katherine Ann Johnson was born April 25, 1960, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Alden and Burnet (Johnson) Aase. Kathy attended school in Clarkfield and graduated from Atwater High School in 1979. She furthered her education by attending some college courses.
Kathy was blessed with three children, Jessi Sue, Jenni Lynne and EJ. Her greatest joy was being a mom and most of all grandma!
Kathy enjoyed spending as much time she could with Joe, going to garage sales, and cooking. She also loved watching Murder She Wrote and Jeopardy. She was always there if anyone needed anything. She cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Jessica Aase (Jayme Lynne) of Montevideo, Jennifer DeJesus (Mark Hook) of Tyler; son, EJ Nelson (Kayla Anspach) of Wood Lake; significant other and best friend Joe Kleinsasser of Montevideo; grandchildren; Lilya Ontiveros, Emma and Gavin DeJesus and Karson Nelson; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Alden and Burnet Aase and numerous aunts and uncles.
