Kalvin Lewis Anderson was born in January 9, 1957 to Kermit and Junnette (Benson) Anderson in Granite Falls Minnesota. He was one of nine Anderson children. Kal was raised on a farm in rural Sacred Heart. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Kal was an exceptional student and athlete. Following high school, he went on to work construction and operate heavy equipment. Kalvin was a skilled and talented general contractor. He could fix anything! He had a love for all animals, especially black labs. Kal was an avid hunter and all around outdoorsman. He had a love for music, especially rock and roll. He was proud of his Scandinavian heritage and exceedingly proud of his daughters. Kalvin was known to be a helpful and loyal friend, always there to lend a hand. He was also quick to take others under his wing. He will be greatly missed.
Kal Anderson, age 62, of Maynard passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home.
Kal is survived by his daughters, Amber (Dominic) Johnson of Granite Falls, Jacqueline (Jacob) Price of Arden Hills; grandchildren, Delaney Myers, Zander Johnson, Knox Johnson, Ezra Price; brothers, Gary (Roseanne) Anderson, Wayne Anderson, Paul Anderson; sisters, Marlene (RD) Hall, Maxine (Phil) Samek, Elaine Sams, Rachael Anderson, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kal is preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Junnette Anderson; brother, Mark Anderson.
