Julie Bedel

Julie Joyce Bedel was born November 30, 1970 in Montevideo, the daughter of Harvey and LaRae ( Koenen. She passed away on Monday September 3, 2012 in Kandiyohi County.Baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Bethany Reformed Church, Julie grew up and attended school in the Clara City area graduating from Clara City High School with the class of 1989. She continued her formal education at Ridgewater College obtaining an associate degree in accounting. On September 7, 1991 she was united in marriage to Gary Bedel at Bethany reformed Church in Clara City. To this union three children were born. Julie was very involved with her kids and their activities. She was a youth group sponsor and spent countless hours with the after prom committee. She was a fixture at MACCRAY High School sporting events and was known as ?Ma Bedel? by the kids. She worked at Impact Plastics and most recently was working at Citizens Alliance Bank for the past 7 years. Julie enjoyed reading and especially loved spending time at the lake with her family. Julie is survived by her husband Gary Bedel of Clara City; their children Tanner, Stefen, and Jade; her parents Harvey and LaRae Koenen of Maynard; sisters: Sheila (Blaine) Westerman of Clara City; Shannon (Josh) Brewers of Taunton; Gary's parents: Robert and Jeanne Bedel of Cyrus; her sister-in-law: Jolene Bedel and Jeremy of Cyrus and her nieces and nephews: Darren, Morgan, Grace, Hannah, Tierra, Morgan, and Reese. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Fred and Alimitta Koenen; and maternal grandparents: Joe and Louise Bednar.
