Johnny Norman Sharp was born on September 8, 1962, on Ramstein Air Force Base in Heidelberg, Germany, the son of Johnny W. and Diana Mae Sharp. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Washburn High School in Minneapolis. Johnny served his country in the United States Army from 1979 to 1983 and was employed as a truck driver all of his working life, working for numerous companies including Arlin Curtiss Trucking and most recently, Kadyl Trucking, Inc. Among Johnnie's hobbies and interests, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, camping, fixing things and visiting with friends and telling jokes. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. In the evening hours of Sunday, November 18, 2012, Johnny was called from this life at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. He was 50 years of age. Surviving Johnny are his children- Joseph Sharp of Sioux Falls, SD; Michael (& Desirae) Sharp of Montevideo, and Andrew Sharp of Circle Pines; grandchildren- Kadence & Magdelyn Sharp of Montevideo; brother- David (& Melissa) Sharp of Princeton; his companion- Susan Firchau of Montevideo; nieces- Stephanie & Samantha Sharp and nephew- David Sharp, all of Princeton. He is also survived by his faithful guard dog- Kramer. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife- Cheryl Ann (Hurley) Sharp.
