Joann Mae Goulson was born July 30, 1950 in Morris, Minnesota the daughter of Curtis and Irene (Morrison) Mohrman. She passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was baptized at Federated Church of Morris, confirmed at First Congregational Church of Christ in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School with the class of 1968. Joann was united in marriage to Larry Negen at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. To this union two children were born. They made their home in Montevideo and she stayed home and cared for the kids. On June 10, 1995 Joann was united in marriage to Gregg Goulson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They shared in over 20 years of marriage living on the farm north of Montevideo. She worked at local factories for over 40 years at Micro Dynamics and Innovex. Joann enjoyed reading, baking, travelling, watching sports and attending local basketball games. She especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Gregg Goulson of Montevideo; children: Terry (Joy) Negen of Marshall; Holly (fiancée Corey Brusven) Olson of Montevideo; grandchildren: Maloy, Natalie, Drew, Kiana, Cayden, and Mikyla; sisters: Jean (Mike) Diggins of Montevideo; Judy Winters of Eden Prairie; Janice (Ian Webster) Lang of Cypress Texas; mother-in-law: Dawn Goulson of Montevideo; brother-in-law: Todd Goulson of Montevideo; as well as several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Curt and Irene Mohrman, her father-in-law Richard ‘Dick’ Goulson, and her children’s father, Larry Negen.
