Jerome Bernard Dybsand was born August 3, 1921 in Sacred Heart Township, Renville County, Minnesota, the son of Juul and Beda (Roste) Dybsand. Jerome passed away Wednesday February 6, 2008 at the RenVilla Health Care Center in Renville, Minnesota. He attained the age of 86 years. Jerome was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. He attended school at District 128 in rural Sacred Heart. As a young man Jerome played town team baseball for Sacred Heart. On September 15, 1946 Jerome was united in marriage to Margaret Pederson at Rock Valle Lutheran Church in Echo, Minnesota. To this union two daughters were born. Jerome farmed for five years north of Echo until 1951 when he and Margaret moved to Wang Township and farmed south of Maynard. He farmed there until his retirement in 1996. Jerome and Margaret moved to Renville in 2004. Jerome did custom corn shelling and baling for many years. He was a member of Hawk Creek Lutheran Church and was known for collecting pens and caps, and also enjoyed cross country skiing. A highlight of his life was a trip to Norway in 1999. Jerome is survived by his wife Margaret of Renville, Minnesota; Daughters: Elaine (Michael) Johnson of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, and Janet (Ronald) Skjefte of Granite Falls, Minnesota. Grandchildren: Tanya (Tom) Marr of Buffalo, Minnesota, Tracy (Jon) Berg of Shakopee, Minnesota, Joseph Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Amber Johnson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Marius (Heidi) Laursen of Mitchell, South Dakota. Great Grandchildren: Tiah, Tyler and Turner Marr, McKenna Berg, Avery and Grayson Laursen. Brother: Alton (Ardie) Dybsand of New London, Minnesota. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents: Juul and Beda Dybsand, and a brother Sheldon Dybsand.
