Jerlyn Harguth

Jerlyn M. Harguth was born June 15, 1937 in Crate Township, Chippewa County Minnesota, the daughter of Merle and Marie (Harms) Harguth. She passed away March 5, 2017 at the Clara City Care Center.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara Catholic Church and graduated from Clara City High School.
Jerlyn continued her education at the Minnesota School of Business and accepted a position with Prudential Insurance in Minneapolis. She returned home to Clara City and worked at Citizens State Bank and Clara City State Bank before taking a position with the Registrar of Deeds and in the clerk of court office at the Chippewa County Courthouse.
She enjoyed shopping, her cars and, in her younger days, dancing at the Fiesta Ballroom. Her favorite color was purple. She enjoyed spending time helping family, baking special treats, and especially loved caring for her dogs.
Jerlyn is survived by her brother: Dennis (Ruth) Harguth of Clara City; sisters-in-law: Joyce Harguth of Clara City and Ruth Ann Harguth of Maynard; brother-in-law Wayne Coulter of Maynard; nieces and nephews: Julie, Michael (Pam), Noelle (Drumond) Stacy (Darin), Kim (Lee), Stephanie (Craig), Mitch, Andy (Kari), Aaron, Sean (Amy) and Nicole (Kevin).
She was preceded in death by her parents Merle and Marie, brothers: Keiran Harguth and Wayne Harguth; and a sister Diane Coulter.
