Jeanette (Johnson) Kurtzbein was born on December 7, 1931 to Emil and Edna (Swenson) Johnson in Granite Falls, MN. She was baptized on March 20, 1932 and confirmed on June 9, 1946 at the altars of the United Lutheran Church of Granite Falls. She attended high school in Montevideo graduating with the Class of 1950. On May 3, 1953, Jeanette and Dennis Angrimson were married. Together, they had two children: Diana and DuWayne. Dennis passed away in 1975. She then married Bernie Kurtzbein in March of 1976. Bernie passed away in 1999.
Jeanette worked at Swift’s in Montevideo, the Monte Drive-in, Control Data and SL-MTI from which she retired in 1999. She has been a resident of Brookside Senior Living for the past six years where she has enjoyed playing cards with some of the other women and playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed going out for meals and shopping outings with her very dear friend, Wanda Kittelson. Jeanette was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
Due to failing health, Jeanette was recently admitted to Luther Haven where she passed on August 22nd at the age of 83. She will be truly missed by those that came to know and love her. May she rest in peace (“Ma”).
Cherishing her memory are her children: Diana (James) Nordstrom of Watson and DuWayne (Louise) Angrimson of Lindstrom; her siblings Donald Johnson of Blaine and Doris Feuchtenberger of St. Cloud; step-daughters Vickie Teigen and Lynn Gottchalk; 8 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Emil Johnson, her husbands, Dennis Angrimson and Bernie Kurtzbein, and brothers Raymond and Dennis Johnson.
