Jay Johnston, 65, of Montevideo, died Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Clara City Care Center. A private family service will be held and burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Jay Jeffery Johnston was born April 7, 1955, the son of Jerome & Florence Johnston in Jamestown, North Dakota. He grew up in Montevideo and graduated from the Montevideo High School in 1974.
Jay was a loyal and loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle. He spent 30 plus years at Montevideo golf course taking great pride in his work while making many friends along the way.
Jay never met a stranger. He loved talking and telling stories.
He will be greatly missed by all his family members especially his two nieces and two nephews and his six great niece and nephews who he was so proud of.
