Jane Lomax, age 82, of Montevideo passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Luther Haven Care Center. Sharing of Memories will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Jane Marie Lomax was born on January 30, 1941, in Wood Lake, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Dorene (Smith) Krueger. She attended school in Granite Falls, Minnesota and graduated in 1959.
Following graduation, Jane and her twin sister, Janet, moved to the Cities and started working. It was here that Jane met John “Jack” Lomax. They were married in 1962 in South Dakota and raised their family in the Granite Falls and Montevideo area.
Jane’s family was most important part of her life. She was a homemaker, raising her children and later worked at Brookside for nearly 20 years and also worked at Luther Haven as a dietary aid. Jane loved talking on the phone, spending hours chatting with her twin sister. She enjoyed watching soap operas, eating a good meal and the occasional trip to the casino. Jane loved all animals and enjoyed the companionship of her pets.
Jane is survived by her children, John Lomax of Rosemount, Tammy Hennen of Leesburg, FL, Pat (Mary) Lomax of Melrose, Holly Lomax; grandchildren, Zachary (Rebecca) Lomax, Kristen (Chris) Lucas, Matthew (Kacie) Hennen, Megan (Nicholas) Schmidt, Joseph Lomax, Melissa (Al) Wolf; many great grandchildren; siblings, Arlene Thompson, Arthur (Bonnie) Krueger Jr., James (Kay) Krueger; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; twin sister, Janet Schille.
