Jane Bakke

Jane E. Bakke was born on September 9,1927 in Richmond, Virginia to Robert and Elizabeth (Wade) Baur. On November 24, 1954 she married Robert Bakke in Richmond. They lived in Austin, Minnesota, where Jane worked as a book keeper/secretary until they moved to Montevideo. In 1974, they moved to Lakeville where Jane prepared taxes and helped Bob manage a mobile home park. After retiring, they spent a few years in Deerwood before returning to Montevideo.
Jane enjoyed league bowling, gardening, canning, dancing and playing the organ. She could often be found reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings on tv. She and Bob loved to get together with friends to play cards, but their favorite past time was fishing for the elusive walleye.
Jane resided at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo for several years until her death. She is survived by her loving husband Bob, daughters Sue (Rick) Brunette of St. Michael, Linda Borgio of Rosemount, sons William (Kathy) Borgio Jr. of Prescott, Arizona, Steve (Marie) Borgio of Hampton Roads, Virginia, son in law Tim Gilbertson of Montevideo, sister Kathrine Cassada of Chesterfield, Virginia, grandchildren Matt (Miranda) Gilbertson of Watson, Stacey (Jeremy) Enevoldsen of Montevideo, Kirsten Brunette of Inver Grove Heights, Tyler Brunette of Fargo, North Dakota, Zachary Brunette of St. Michael, Kim (Alec) Gorjestani of Rosemount, Johnna (Steve) Miller Raskin of Washington, DC, Andrew Borgio of Hesperia, California, Samantha (Travis) Hall of Heber City, Utah, and 8 great grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Jody Gilbertson this past August, her sister, Shirley Davis, and her parents Elizabeth and Robert Baur.
Family is planning a private service
