Jaclyn Smith

Jaclyn Rita Smith was born on January 23, 1978, in Staples, Minnesota the daughter of Dennis and Rita (Stromstad) Smith. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from high school in Granite Falls. Jaclyn was an intelligent woman who was full of energy and loved her animals. Whenever she had the time, she would read books and converse with veterinarians on the care and proper treatment of livestock and domestic pets. Jaclyn had a unique sense of humor and held close to her heart, her two brothers. She was her mother's best friend and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, including new wave, classical, old country and modern country. In the early morning hours of Saturday September 28, 2013, Jaclyn left this life and is now at peace. She was 35 years of age. Surviving family include her parents- Rita Hamre and Dennis (LuAnn) Smith, both of Granite Falls; brothers Justin (& Kizar) Smith of Palmer, AK and Aaron Smith of Granite Falls; grandfather Harold (& Betty) Smith of Onamia; a niece- Kyla Smith of Palmer AK; two nephews- Joshua and Jesse Smith, also of Palmer, AK; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents- Melvin & Ruth Stromstad; her paternal grandmother- Virginia Smith and her former husband Lenny Graff.
