Jack Claudia Powell

Claudia Joyce Powell, 65, of Rosemount, formerly of Montevideo, died on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota. She was born in Turtle Lake, North Dakota on December 6, 1940 to Palmer and Clara Pederson. She graduated from St. Paul's Harding High School in 1959.Jack Creighton Powell, 73, of Rosemount, formerly of Montevideo, died on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Home in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. He was born in Montevideo, Minnesota on August 10, 1934 to Creighton and Mary Powell. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1952. Jack and Claudia were married on December 19, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with a son and they lived most of their lives in Montevideo. Both Jack and Claudia dedicated their lives to being the very best spouse, parent and friend they could be. Jack graduated from St. Cloud State University with a teaching degree and spent the rest of his life educating others. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #109 of Montevideo. The couple enjoyed their time spent at the lake, crossword puzzles, dancing with one another, socializing with their friends, and especially treasured the time spent with their son, his wife and grandchildren. At the time of her death, Claudia was survived by her beloved husband, her son Jay and his wife Lisa of Cottage Grove and grandchildren: Jenna Rupe and Jacob Powell. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Rodney Pederson.When Jack joined Claudia in their heavenly home, he was survived by Jay, Lisa, Jenna and Jacob as well as his sister, Joanne Davidson and her husband Clarence (Bolly) and their children Mary Lea and Carol of Douglas, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Claudia, and his sister Betty June.
