Hilda Ann Painter (nee Roberts), 95, of Boyd died peacefully in her sleep on January 16th, 2015 at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
Born October 11th, 1919 in Buckeye, Arizona, she lived in Yuma, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; North Hollywood, California; Encinitas, California; and happily spent the last thirty-five years living in Boyd, Minnesota. She worked as a waitress, a nursing assistant, a seamstress, a newspaper distribution manager, an upholsterer, an Experience Works field agent, and most recently at Earth Rise Farm until retiring in 2011.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Maynus, Claudette Skaja, Gary Painter, and Jack Painter; her grandchildren, Charles Maynus, Jeffery Maynus, Paulette Skaja, Crystal Kokal, Daniel Painter, and Stephanie Faller; her great-grandchildren, Cody Maynus, Heather Osen, Ashley Maynus, Kayla Maynus, Taylor Bell, Grant Kokal, Alex Kokal, Connor Faller, and Ryan Faller; and her close friends Nancy Painter, Donita Ellingson, Sister Kathleen Fernholz SSND, and Sister Annette Fernholz SSND.
Hilda is preceded in death by her husband, Edd; four infant children; her siblings, Claude, Clara, Evelyn, Daisey, and Jewel; and her parents, Claude and Gertrude.
