Hilda Nellermoe was born on March 10, 1915 to Horace and Hilda (Mathison) Baker in Rhame, North Dakota. She attended school on the prairies of North Dakota and in Rhame. After high school, she moved to Seattle, Washington, working as a waitress for several years. She married Elmer Nellermoe in Granite Falls on September 6, 1945. Hilda was active in her church as part of the Ladies Aid and Circles, teaching Sunday school, directing the Junior Choir, and quilting. She liked music, cooking and baking, gardening, growing violets, watching the Minnesota Twins baseball games, writing letters to her friends and playing games with her grandsons. Hilda died at the RenVilla Health Center on February 20th at the age of 92 years. She is survived by her children: Earl (Cheryl) Nellermoe of Sacred Heart, MN; Daryl Nellermoe of Enderlin, N.D; and Gayle Jensen of Rosemount, MN; grandsons: Todd (Crystal) Nellermoe, Brian Jensen and Andrew Jensen. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer in 1974, grandson Ryan Nellermoe in 1983; sister Ruby Tharp and a brother, Lester as an infant.
