Herbert Reinhold ‘Herb’ Weber was born on March 19, 1926, in Raymond, MN, the son of Gust and Olga (Gruhn) Weber. He was baptized on June 18, 1926 and was received into the congregation of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo as a confirmed Christian on June 18, 1999 after completing adult confirmation instruction.
On October 14, 1962, Herb was united in marriage to Evelyn Marie Wickum at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was employed at Jennett Beverage of Montevideo for 26 years and then worked for the Montevideo Street Department for 23 years.
Herb was a very caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his coffee time with friends and working outdoors, regardless of the weather, brought him his greatest joy.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 29, 2015, while in the loving presence of his wife Evelyn, Herb passed from this life at his home while under Hospice care. He was 89 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn of Montevideo; his son Terry Weber of Ennis, TX; his daughter Lynn Larson and his grandson Joshua Larson both of Rochester; his brother-in-law Carl Huth (fiancé Kim Peterson) of Canby; 2 sisters-in-law Mavis Weber of Redwood Falls and Leona Weber of Montevideo and numerous friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law Alan Larson; sister-in-law Helen Raveling; brother-in-law Roland Raveling; 7 brothers- Emil, Bernhard, Herman, Art, Henry, William and Charlie; 2 sisters- Clara Mitlyng and Freda Weber.
