Herbert Eisenlohr was born April 28, 1927, the son of Earl & Erna (Wollschlager) Eisenlohr, on the family farm in Grace Township, Chippewa County. He attended school in Grace Township District 53. Herbert worked for Norman Construction for six years before he began farming. He was united in marriage to Janet Strand. During his early years he trapped mink. He loved hunting and fishing. Herbert passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was 86 years of age. He is survived by his wife Janet; two daughters Renay (Mark) Mettling of Montevideo and Judy Eisenlohr of Harrisburg, South Dakota; son Brad (fiancé Shannon Evenson) of Clarkfield; two grandchildren: Jeremy (Tammy) Mettling and Jaime (Bill) Anderson; five great grandchildren: Justin Mettling, Meghan Mettling, Justin Colpoys, Mitchell Anderson and Amanda Anderson; two sisters: Eva Nicolai of Owatonna and Darlene Tolin of Benson; and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Kyle and three brothers: Harold, Clyde and Milton.
