Heather Torke, 47, of Prior Lake, passed away at her residence on March 14, 2023. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 1:00 pm at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of the service.
Heather Marie Torke was born May 18, 1975, in Granite Falls, MN the daughter of Allen & Barb (Paulson) Torke. She grew up in Hanley Falls and was the first of four children. She was baptized & confirmed at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. She attended school at GFC graduating in 1993. Her love for Tennis, Bowling & Softball was everything in high school. She played softball league until her knee wouldn’t let her anymore, so she started shooting pool with a great bunch of girls.
She attended Granite Falls Vocational school while working at Bob’s Red Owl in Granite, until she got her job at Weiner Memorial Medical Center. She then worked at Firefly Casino until the opening of Prairie’s Edge Casino in the Guest Services after leaving she moved to Prior Lake, MN.
Heather is survived by her Dad & Mom Allen & Barb Torke of Wood Lake; Daughter Samantha; Sisters: Tara Torke (Paul Nelson) of Burnsville, Alison (Aaron) Bakkelund of Hanley Falls, Brother Brooks (Amy) Torke of Wood Lake; Nephews: Jakob Pringle, Brantley Torke, Nieces; Janessa Bakkelund, Tia Nelson, Ella Nelson & Ryn Torke; Uncles & Aunts: Beth Fischer of Shakopee, Larry (Linda) Paulson of Montevideo, Jerry (Janell) Paulson of Granite Falls, Terry (Mary) Paulson of Hazel Run, Susan Huso of Cottonwood; Great Uncle Doug Anderson of Marshall, Great Aunt Barb Anderson of Wood Lake & many cousins, she loved them all.
Preceded in death by Grandparents Bennett & Adeline Torke, Art & Shirley Paulson, Aunt Cathy Paulson, Uncle Melvin Fischer, Great Uncle Wallace Anderson and Special Friend of her Aunt Billie Weinhold.
