Harold Kruger

Harold George Kruger was born October 25, 1936 in Rheiderland Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, the son of George and Anna Kruger. He passed away Monday November 9, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital. He attained the age of 73 years. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Clara City graduating with the class of 1954.Harold was united in marriage to Lorna Lee Roelofs on May 28, 1959. Their union was blessed with four children. Harold and Lorna recently celebrated fifty years of marriage. His lifelong passion was farming and the couple raised their children to appreciate and be part of it.In his leisure time, Harold enjoyed playing cards, hunting, ice fishing, and bowling. He loved to spend time with family and friends and was known to tease his grandchildren now and then.Harold is survived by his wife Lorna of Clara City, Minnesota; children: Robin (Larry) Pladson of Roseau, Minnesota, Janet (Troy) Sweep of Clara City, Minnesota, Gary (Lori) Kruger of Clara City, Minnesota, and Brenda (Wayne) Hulke of Waconia, Minnesota; grandchildren: Greg Pladson, Lyndsay (Matthew) Kunkel, Allison (Bryan) Pauling, Alex (Lindsey) Sweep, Kelly Hulke, Aaron Hulke, and Baylee, Cory, and Nicole Kruger; great grandchild: Lilyanne Kea Pauling; sister: Lois (Roger) Fjerkenstad; sisters-in-law: Shirley Kruger and Margaret Kruger. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Delmer and Dean.
