Harold Botten

Harold Duane "Harry" Botten was born on August 28, 1935, in Montevideo, MN, the son of Almer H. and Vernette I. Botten. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Montevideo and attended high school in Montevideo.Harry served his country in the United States Army from March 14, 1956 to his honorable discharge on December 31, 1957. He was united in marriage to Beverly Mae Miller in Montevideo, MN. He worked for 30 years for the Montevideo Reminder.Harry loved to hunt, spend time ?down at the river?, play cards and above all, visit and spend time with his friends and family. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo, MN and the Knights of Columbus. He was called from this life at his residence in the evening hours of Monday September 16, 2013. He was 78 years of age. Surviving family include his wife Beverly of Montevideo, MN; his children- Larry (& Ann) Botten of New Ulm, MN, Linda (& Kevin) Klein of Motley, MN, Tim (& Ana) Botten of Riverside, CA and David (& Beth) Botten of Brainerd, MN; his brother Bill (& Sue) Botten of Montevideo, MN; sisters Ann Kruse of Granite Falls, MN, Dorothy (& Jerry ) Myers of Granite Falls, MN and Bee (& Ken) Heinemann of Dell Rapids, SD; his uncle Vernon Jahn of Montevideo, MN; grandchildren- Tori Botten, Carli Botten, Kelli Klein, Kaytlyn Klein, Alec Maruffo, Ale Maruffo, Nicole Botten, Chris Randt, Jessica Botten and Thomas Botten, nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding Harry in death were his parents; his brother Larry and a brother-in-law Dick Kruse.
