Glen W. Haroldson was born July 6, 1930, on the family farm in Minnesota Falls Township, where he resided as a farmer all his life. Bringing in the crop was the highlight of every year. His parents were John H. and Belle Haraldson. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, where he later served on the church council. He graduated in 1948 from the Hanley Falls High School.On May 21, 1950, he married Arlene Meyer. Five children were born to this union. Glen's joy was his family. Favorite past times over the years were hunting, fishing, being with family and friends, ball games, a good game of Pinochle or Buck, being part of Pioneer Power and Good Sam Campers, country music, reading, collecting treasures and trips to Florida, Branson, California, Arizona, Texas and Louisiana. On July 21, 2009, Glen died after a tough battle with cancer. Our memories will be forever. Surviving Glen are his wife Arlene; five children: Peggy Haroldson of Phoenix, Arizona; David (Karen) Haroldson; Gail (Michael) Aus; Susan (Woody) Tollefson and Karen (Thomas) Baker all of Granite Falls; grand children: Joshua (Maren) Ettesvold; Jeremy Ettesvold; Jeffry (Jackie) Ettesvold; Heidi (Jerrod) Larson; Barrett (Melonie) Haroldson; Seth, Leigh and Kayla Aus; Taylor Tollefson; Jamie, Emily & John Baker; great grandchildren: Jacob, Erik & Maiya Ettesvold and Kai Haroldson; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ella (Warren) Lecy and brother John Haroldson.
