Gladys Ammermann

Gladys Cora Ammermann was born May 20, 1926 in Rheiderland Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota the daughter of Conrad and Anna Tebben. She passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Clara City Care Center.She was baptized into the Christian faith August 1, 1926 at Bethany Reformed Church. Gladys grew up and attended school in Clara City, graduating with the Class of 1944.On February 20, 1948 Gladys was united in marriage to Richard Ammermann. To this union three children were born. Gladys was a loving mother and cared for the house as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, baking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Leann (Roger) Knapper of Clara City; Lynette (Larry) Marcus of Prinsburg; Marlin (Dianne) Ammermann of Clara City; grandchildren: Kari (Jeff) Asche of Clara City; Tim (Amber) Knapper of Granite Falls; Amy (Lane) Schwitters of Clara City; Ross (Stacy) Knapper of Toronto; Matt (Janae) Marcus of Sioux Falls; Luke Marcus of Detroit, Michigan; Nate (Jenny) Marcus of Prinsburg; Karina (Josiah) Poirier of Sioux Falls; Mindy Ammermann of Willmar; Christina Ammermann of Bloomington; Holly Ammermann of Bloomington and other extended family. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1995; parents: Conrad and Anna Tebben; and a brother John Tebben.
