Gayle Inks, 78, of Granite Falls, passed away on Monday July 11, 2022, at the Granite Falls Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, July 16th at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Burial will take place at the Appleton City Cemetery.
Gayle Jean Inks was born August 20, 1943, the daughter of Restle (Shorty) and Mary (Moore) Inks in Appleton. She graduated from Appleton High School and the University of Minnesota, Morris. Gayle received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education and taught many students in Minnesota and South Dakota.
She later moved to Granite Falls to live with her mother. While living in Granite Falls, she worked at the Casino. Gayle enjoyed reading fiction, finishing puzzles, completing word search books and playing cards with friends. Gayle spent a lot of time at the KCC walking. She was a very friendly person who enjoyed visiting with anyone.
Gayle passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Granite Falls Care Center. She was 78 years of age.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Cohen of Minneapolis; niece and nephews: Bobbi, Josh and Adam; extended family; two best friends, Claudia and Pearl; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
