Gary Irvin Fritz was born February 21, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Irvin and Blanche Fritz. He passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012 at his home in Clara City. He was baptized into the Christian faith on May 17, 1936 at Eagle Rock Lutheran Church in Los Angeles. He grew up and attended school in Los Angeles graduating from Wilson High School with the class of 1954.On August 7, 1955 Gary was united in marriage to Carolynne Harden in Yuma, Arizona. To this union five children were born. They raised their children and made their home in California, while Gary worked with his father as a wholesale meat distributor.In 1968 Gary moved his family to Clara City and he began work as parts man for Fritz trucking. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving on the video committee and teaching Sunday school.He was a former parent Cub Scout leader and he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his family and sitting on the deck. Gary is survived by his wife, Carol Fritz of Clara City; children: Steven (Dee) Fritz of Spooner, Wisconsin; John (Kathy) Fritz of Clara City; Eric (Stephanie) Fritz of Tea, South Dakota; Gaelynne (Jeff) Vanden Bosch of Lake Wilson; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister: Earlene McGuire of Redding, California; and other extended family.He was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Blanche, and his son Edward.
