Frances Kissner

Frances La Vern Boklep Kissner was born April 26, 1917, the daughter of Carl and Josie Boklep, on the home farm near Belview. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Chruch. She attended country school and three years of high school in Belview.
Frances was united in marriage to Sylvan Kissner on October 25, 1934. They lived with his folks for four years south of Belview and farmed with them. In 1938, they moved southeast of Renville and farmed for 26 years and then retired in Granite Falls. Frances worked at the Granite Falls Hospital for 28 ½ years. In 1989, she went back to school and received her GED. Following her retirement she enjoyed church work including quilting for the church and her family.
Frances passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at her residence in Redwood Falls. She was 97 years of age.
She is survived by her children: Dennis (Darlene) Kissner of Redwood Falls; Robert (Jolene) Kissner of Ramsey; Vernon (Janice) Kissner of Minneapolis; Sharon (Denny) Bannon of Chino Hills, California; Elaine Kissner (Shawn Casserly) of Minneapolis and Kenneth (Lori) Kissner of Pensacola, Florida; daughter-in-law Beverly Kissner of Redwood Falls; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and extended family and friends
She was preceded in death by three children: Ronald Kissner, Darlene Peters and Judy Kissner; two granddaughters: Dorene Kissner and Angela Frances Kissner; brothers: John, Henry, Lawrence and Arthur in infancy; sisters: Minnie Ellingson, Cora, Alyce Holt, Josphine Meno and Bea Bronkhurst
Memorial preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Hospice.
