Frances Jerve

Frances Elaine Jerve was born January 30, 1922, the daughter of John S. & Agnes Erickson, in Westbank Township, Minnesota. She attended Baxter Township District 8, West Bank Township District 72, and the Appleton High School. Frances was united in marriage to Rueben Jerve on April 12, 1941, at the Big Bend Parsonage. She was active at Watson Lutheran Church and in WELCA. Frances enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and preparing favorite family Scandinavian specialties. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Frances passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. She was 86 years old. She is survived by her daughters: Rochelle (Ken) Olson of Lewistown, Montana; Roma (Jerome) Sundgaard of Littleton, Colorado; Janet (Richard) Carlson of Alpena, Michigan; and Julie (Steve) Ellingson of Pierre, South Dakota; grandchildren: Marcene (Olson) Butcher of Lewistown, Montana; Heather (Olson) Gueths of Lewistown, Montana; Garrett Olson of Missoula, Montana; Greg Sundgaard of Novato, California; Jeff Sundgaard of Sedalia, Colorado; Eric Carlson of Alpena, Michigan; Chris Carlson of Alpena, Michigan; and Jess Ellingson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; great grandchildren: Andrew Butcher, Samuel Butcher and Gustav Gueths all of Lewistown, Montana; Griffin, Leah, and Cade Sundgaard of Novato, California; Rachel, Hunter, Amelia, and Rebekah Carlson of Alpena, Michigan; one sister Jean Lyngen of Montevideo; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Rueben in June of 2007.
