Florence Springer

Florence Springer was born March 31, 1918 in Woonsocket, South Dakota the daughter of Henry and Amelia Spies. She passed away Thursday October 30, 2008 in Marshall, Minnesota. She grew up and attended country school in Woonsocket later moving with her parents to Granite Falls. On August 24, 1940 Florence was united in marriage to Henry Springer at the St. Paul Lutheran Parsonage in Granite Falls. To this union two children were born. Florence and Henry raised their family and farmed in Sioux Agency Township. They retired in 1988 moving into Granite Falls where Florence worked at the Granite Bakery. In 1993 they moved to Marshall where she still resided. Florence is survived by her children: David (Patricia) Springer of Granite Falls, Minnesota; Debra (Vince) Ertl of Marshall, Minnesota; four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry in 2002 and eight siblings
