Florence M. Miller was born May 4, 1921 in Hanley Falls, Minnesota to Andrew and Minnie Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in Hanley Falls. She graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1939. Following high school, she began her work career at Torgersons Clothing Store in Granite Falls. This was the start of different jobs she had before she became the Deputy Registrar for the Department of Motor Vehicles'a position she thoroughly enjoyed and held until retirement. Florence was united in marriage to Percy Miller, December 22, 1945. They had four children; Dianne, Paul, Marcia and Becky. She was a long time active member of the Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Florence was also active in many community events and organizations, including the American Legion Auxiliary. She touched many lives and especially cherished her time with family. She greeted each day and everyone with a smile and was a role model for many. Her thoughtful and caring nature was something she was known for. For many years she enjoyed playing bridge, going to aquasize, baking'especially brownies and banana bread'a tradition being carried on, going to sewing club, ladies aid, and having friends over for coffee. She loved life and that was evident in her relationships with family and friends. During her last years, Florence was a content and happy resident of the Clarkfield Care Center. With her daughters by her side, Florence peacefully passed away on January 5th, at the Granite Falls Hospital.She is survived by children; Dianne Miller of Coon Rapids, Marcia (Dean) Gunderson of Coon Rapids, Becky (Gunner) Mensink of Granite Falls. Grandchildren; Melissa (David) Windschitl, Michael Hallberg, Laura Gunderson, Melinda Gunderson, Tony (Jess) Mensink, Brandon (Ali) Mensink. Great-grandchildren; Mason, Brayden, McKenzie, Cooper, Carson, Chase, Jack, and many nieces and nephews. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her husband Percy, son Paul, brother Earl, sister Viola, brother-in-law Bill, sister-in-laws Clarice and Idella, great-nephew Travis, and many dear friends.
