Fay Hanson

January 15, 1920 — March 5, 2008

Fay Hanson was born in Bryant, South Dakota on January 15, 1920 to Ben and Rene (Lusk) Klucas. She received her education in Bryant High School. She and Norman Olaf Hanson were married on January 18, 1946 in Culver City, California. During their married years, they lived in Bird Island and Morton, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with six children. In addition to raising her family, Fay enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking and was well known for her delicious donuts. Norman passed away in January of 1980. Fay moved to Clara City in 1990 to be closer to her children. Due to her failing health, she became a resident of the Clara City Care Center in 2007. At the age of 88 years, Fay was called from this earthly life on Saturday afternoon, March 1st. Cherishing her memory are her six children: Bonnie (Kenneth) Haas of Clara City, Leland (Connie) Hanson of Glencoe, Nadine (Jerry) Landin of Lake Lillian, Duane Hanson of Bird Island, Selma Hanson of Montevideo, and Neva (Lenny) Simning of Springfield; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. May her memory be blessed.
