Everet Phillip Peters was born on July 10, 1938 in Clara City, MN. He was the son of Heye and Fern (Quigley) Peters. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and attended school in Clara City, MN.
On July 11, 1959 Everet was united in marriage to Avis Victoria Bothun at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN. In his early years, Everet was employed as a farm hand. In his mid-twenties he began work in the construction industry. In 1969, he started his own business as a General Contractor – Peters Construction. In 2004, he incorporated his two sons into the company. Everet took great pride in his work and every project had to be completed with perfection.
Although work was his passion, Everet enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at the lake with his family. His family was the most important thing to him. Everet also loved to travel and play cards with friends and family.
Everet passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on February 17, 2016.
He is survived by his wife Avis of Montevideo; his daughter Vicky (Bruce) Hagberg of St. Cloud; his son Mark (Wendy) of Montevideo; his son Terry (Jacque) of Montevideo; his ten grandchildren – Melissa, Britta, Andrea and Blake Hagberg; Nicole (Eric) VanGorp, Cassie (Cory) Tammen, and Jordan Peters; Mattison, Phillip and Macy Peters; his five great-grandchildren; sister Margie (James) Negen; brothers Heye Jr, Marvin (Karen), Harlen (Linda) and Jerry (Roxanne); sister-in-law Irene Peters; sister-in-law Wanda Kittelson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne and Timmy Bothun, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rodney and Nancy Bothun; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parent-in-laws, sister Doris McDougal; brother Harry; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Phyllis and Kenny Billings; brother-in-law Wally Kittelson.
Everet will be sadly missed by his loving wife and family.
