Evelyn West

Evelyn Marion West was born May 12, 1919 in Granite Falls, the daughter of Emil and Maria (Pederson) Engebretson. She passed away August 4, 2016 at the Granite Falls Manor.
On June 9, 1935 Evelyn was united in marriage to Woodrow West Sr. To this union seven children were born. They made their home on the family dairy farm that Evelyn loved and was able to live on for 78 years before moving to the Manor in 2013.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, auction, antiques and traveling. Evelyn was a true farm wife as she especially enjoyed canning peaches, corn and making pickles.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Woodrow “Butch” (Nancy) West of Granite Falls; Mary (Fred) Hamacher of Mesquite, Nevada; Richard (Robin) West of Granite Falls; Susan Ryan of Palm Harbor, Florida; Cheryl West of Edina; son-in-law: Ted Grams of Hoyt Lakes; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow West Sr; son, Ronnie (Dodie) West and daughter, Margo Grams.
