Esther Lorraine (Lyngen) Myhre was born March 29, 1927, in Tunsberg Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, to Soren & Beret Lyngen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Watson Church. She graduated from Montevideo High School June 4, 1945, and worked for a time for Archer Daniels. On July 23, 1949, she married Wallace Myhre in the Watson Lutheran Church parsonage. She worked as a secretary for ten years in the Chippewa County Extension Office and enjoyed the 4H program. Esther's life revolved around her family. She loved time spent visiting her grandchildren & great grandchildren for birthday parties and holiday events. She enjoyed her Homemaker's group, travels with her husband to Hawaii, Texas, Arizona and Norway, and camping with friends and relatives at Lake Minnewaska. Esther's health declined over the past four months. She loved living at Copper Glen but missed her life on the farm. She died suddenly on January 26, 2013, while a resident at Luther Haven Nursing Home. Blessed be her memory. Surviving family include her children: Gayle (Marvin) Jensen of Montevideo; Gary (Gail) Myhre of Willmar; Lee (Sherry) Myhre of Montevideo; and Lola (Duane) Anderson of Dawson; nine grandchildren: Tanja (Scott) Glaser, Aaron (Kari) Jensen, Ryan (Peggy) Myhre; Jamie Myhre (fiancé Stella Brooks), Erin Myhre (fiancé Jake Kienlen) & Kelly (Daniel) Hanson; Eric Myhre; Dan Anderson; Chad (Camille) Anderson; ten great grandchildren: Kendall, Lane & Ty Glaser, Tristan & Mason Myhre, Morgan Myhre & Madison & Tyler Kienlen, Hope & Brynn Anderson and Carter Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wallace in 2006, two brothers and five sisters.
