Ernie Streich, 75, of Granite Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 28th at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 5th at 2 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4 to 7 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls, with a 7 pm prayer service, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Ernest Ervin Streich was born on April 13, 1945 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Ervin and Anna(Haas) Streich. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Granite Falls
and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1964. Ernie was united in marriage to Linda Steffen on August 12, 1967. Ernie served six years in the Army National Guard. He drove truck
for Murphy's Freight, Ready-Mix, The Green Company, Yellow Freight, and also owned E & L Moving and Storage for ten years.
Ernie enjoyed spending time with family doing various outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, trail riding and going to horse events. Throughout the years, Ernie was an active member and volunteer of several clubs including The Valley Riders Saddle Club, Yellow Medicine Historical Society, High School Rodeo, The Swenson Farm Horse Power Event, Minnesota Draft Horse Association, and Black Bart show put on for several years at Western Fest. Ernie was on the American Legion Post #69 Honor Guard and a board member. In his spare time, he enjoyed feeding and watching birds, dancing, playing cards and gardening.
On Thursday, January 28, 2021, Ernie passed away at home surrounded by family at the age of 75.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Linda Streich of Granite Falls, MN; four children, Emmy (Todd)
Luepke of Wood Lake, Maradee (Mark) Schettler of Echo, Eugene (Laura) of Montevideo, and Vicki (Mark) Patterson of Echo; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters Adeline
Sens of Mankato, Carol Nelson, and Dorothy Nokleby of Granite Falls, sister-in-law LouAnn Streich; in-laws Steve (Jody) Steffen, Kerry (Julie) Steffen, Boyd (Tammy) Steffen, Valerie (Dan)
Hildahl, Julie (Ken) Grode and many other extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ervin and Anna, father and mother-in-law Harold and Corrine Steffen, sisters Erna Martinson and Leona Streich (in infancy), brother Lloyd Streich;
sons-in-law Michael Lewison and Matthew Kahler; his sister-in-law Kristie Specht; his brothers-in-law Richard Nokleby, Donald Nelson, Russell Martinson, and Garfield Sens.
