Eric Romo

Eric Romo, age 64, of Plymouth, Minnesota and formerly of Granite Falls passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 after a battle with heart issues/surgery over the past year. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Eric Henry Romo was born March 12, 1960 in Granite Falls, Minnesota and grew up on the family farm in the area. He attended Hawk Creek Lutheran Church as a child and graduated from Granite Falls High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Mankato State University and a Master’s degree in chemistry along with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from UND Grand Forks. He worked for 3M and later Hennepin County as a Lotus Notes developer for a good number of years and various other jobs.

Eric is survived by four brothers, Daniel, David (Pam), Arne (Lili) and Joel Romo; two nieces, Christiana and Grace Romo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Eleanor Romo; aunts, Alice Romo and Esther Romo; brother, Harold Romo; sister, Solveig Romo; and niece, Karina Romo. 

Eric’s brilliant mind, sharp wit, and loving smile will be deeply missed!
