Elmer Knutson

Elmer Ivan Knutson was born September 7, 1952, the son of Emil & Arlene (Steinbach) Knutson in Granite Falls. He graduated from the North High School in Minneapolis. He was drafted in July of 1972, and served his country in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in July of 1976. He spent some time in San Diego, California and then worked at a water treatment plant in Saudi Arabia. After returning to the States he moved of Idaho. He was united in marriage to Terrie Polson on May 16, 1993. To this union one son, Quintin, was born. The family moved back to Granite Falls in 2003.
Elmer enjoyed music and puzzles and time spent fishing. He also enjoyed his job at Wal-Mart. Elmer passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his residence. He was 65 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Terrie, son Quintin of Bloomington; sisters: Hazel (Darrell) Carter of Granite Falls and Elaine (Gale) Burns of King Hill, Idaho; brothers: John (Michelle) Knutson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Owen Imes of Villard and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Joyce.
