Elizabeth "Betty" Buesing

Elizabeth Louise Buesing was born in Minneapolis on March 22, 1954, the daughter of Donald & Ann (Maney) Sietsema. Betty graduated from the Renville High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to Donald Buesing on September 13, 1975 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville.
Over the years, Betty worked at Gretchen’s Hair Shop, Ben Franklin, and Granite Drug before joining the team at the Granite Falls Bank. She truly loved the fifteen years she spent working with her second family at the bank, and cherished the close friends she made there.
Most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her beloved grandchildren were a very special part of her life. Betty also volunteered, was active with her church, loved to travel, and always lived her life to the fullest.
Betty faced her battle with cancer with a great deal of grace and dignity. She passed away surrounded by family on Monday, September 7, 2015 at her home. She was 61 years of age.
She is survived by her husband Don of Granite Falls; children: Derek (Kjersten) of Granite Falls; Ryan (Ann) of Denver, Colorado; and Sara of St. Paul; two grandchildren: Devyn & Makenna; her mother Ann Sietsema of Renville; siblings: Lee (Peggy) Sietsema of Willmar; Bill (Karen) Sietsema of Renville; Beverly Fritz (Ken) Hults of Glencoe; Eileen (Ernie) Graves of Renville; Nancy (Paul) Sharkey of Cottonwood; Rosemary (Loren) Jansen of Lowry; Carol (Paul) Smith of Northfield and Sister Janelle Sietsema of St. Joseph; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald and brother Edward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center in Rochester, MN.
