Elisabeth Christianson was born to Maria Eich on October 10, 1919 in Ruebenach, Germany. She passed away August 3, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Battle Lake, Minnesota.When her mother married Jakob Klein, he adopted Elisabeth. After Maria and Jakob died, Elisabeth grew up in an orphanage along with her siblings in Germany.On February 13, 1954, Elisabeth was united in marriage to Virgil Gordon Christianson at the Registry of Unterduerrbach, Germany. After Virgil's tour of duty in Germany, the couple came to the United States by ship. They lived in several areas including Michigan, Minneapolis, and Montevideo before settling in Dilworth. She was a seamstress and daycare provider in addition to 25 years as housekeeping supervisor for the Ramada Inn in Fargo, North Dakota.Elisabeth is survived by her sister-in-law of Germany and many nieces and nephews both here and abroad.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil in 1993; and her brothers: Peter Klein and Josef Klein and her sister Gertie Gartner.
