Eleanor Louise JensVold was born May 9, 1929 in Granite Falls, the daughter of John and Ethell (Haave) Anderson. She passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Granite Falls Manor.
She grew up and attended school in the Granite Falls area, and as a young adult, helped take care of her family after the passing of her mother at a young age.
On November 3, 1946 Eleanor was united in marriage to Darrell JensVold on Granite Falls. To this union three children were born.
Eleanor worked at Rosy’s Super Club, Granite Falls Liquor Store, and Plews Manufacturing. She enjoyed crafting, woodworking, making homemade gifts, and sewing kids and doll clothes. Eleanor’s favorite time of year was Christmas and she enjoyed spending time with family and baking Christmas treats with her sisters. She especially enjoyed spending with her family and grandchildren and trips to Lake Irene.
She is survived by her daughter: Shelly Runia of Granite Falls; grandsons: Ryan Beito of Shakopee, Nathan Beito of Las Vegas, Nevada; Derek Engstrom of Watertown, South Dakota; Cody JensVold of St. Cloud; sister: Carol Iverson of Granite Falls; brother; Curtis Anderson of New Brighton, and other extended family and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents John and Ethell Anderson, her husband Darrell JensVold, daughter: Judy Beito, son, Doug JensVold, son-in-law Roger Runia, brothers: Merlin Anderson, Jim Anderson; and a sister Virginia Klemek.
