Eldean Lettau, age 92, of Raymond passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clara City with interment following in Raymond City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Margaret Eldean Lettau was born on September 9, 1931 in LaMoure, North Dakota, the daughter Charles and Margaret (Tischer) Williams. She grew up and attended school in LaMoure where she enjoyed playing basketball in high school.
On December 9, 1956, Eldean was united in marriage at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They began their life together and built a home on the Lettau family farm near Montevideo. The couple were blessed with four children and over 65 years together.
Eldean worked right beside Harvey on the farm. She also worked at Ben Franklin in Montevideo for years. Eldean loved all things crafts, and truly there wasn’t anything that she didn’t attempt to create or replicate. In these past years, she had a little canine companion, ‘Peanut’ who kept her going. Eldean lived in the moment, enjoyed being with family and will be remembered as always forgiving.
Eldean is survived by her children, Cynthia Lettau of Golden Valley, Judith Ann (Lynn) Brielmaier of Houston, TX, Wallace (Julie) Lettau of Las Vegas, NV, Pat (Richelle Pikala) Lettau of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Justin, Kelsey, Jason, Nicole, Nickolas, Jacob, Taran, Alexandrea, Kennedy, Peyton, Bailey; Sister DelRose Felton; sister-in-law, Beverly Williams; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eldean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Williams; husband, Harvey; siblings, Georgine McKenzie, Melvina Christ and Wallace Williams.
