Dwight Mulder

May 28, 1957 — October 23, 2024

Dwight Mulder, 67, of Clara City, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his home.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 5 to 7:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church and continue on Thursday one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Centra Care Hospice.

Dwight Lee Mulder was born May 28, 1957, the son of Dick and Mary Ann (Ahrenolz) Mulder in Granite Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Reformed faith. Dwight graduated from Renville High School in 1975.

He attended the Institute for Broadcasting and began his radio career in Grand Forks. Dwight was united in marriage with Jan DeGrote on July 22, 1977, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. In 1980, they moved back to Clara City and he began working at KDMA Radio Station, where he worked for 38 years. Dwight then began working for Trans Systems in Renville until his retirement. 

Dwight and Jan enjoyed many motorcycle trips, watching his sons play sports and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Jan; sons: Barry (Jess) Mulder and Alex (Laura) Mulder; grandchildren: Addison, Lili, Mason, Bodhi, Evelyn and Colton; siblings: Dan Mulder and Jerry (Gloria) Mulder; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron Mulder, sister Melanie and sister-in-law Jacquie Mulder.
