Douglas Jensvold

August 25, 1951 — December 12, 2010

Douglas Eugene Jensvold was born on August 25, 1951, in Granite Falls, MN, the son of Darrell and Eleanor Jensvold. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Granite Falls High School. He served his country in the United States Army for 2 years, stationed in Germany, receiving his honorable discharge in 1972.Doug was employed by Fingerhut Corporation and also worked at the St. Cloud Hospital. He loved to ride his Harley, go to drag races, watch NFL football and spend time at Lake Irene fishing, boating and enjoying the outdoors with his family. Doug was a fun loving man who enjoyed being with his friends. He was also a loving father who thought the most of his son, Cody. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and Granite Falls Lutheran Church.In 1997, Doug underwent heart transplant surgery and recently, due to other physical complications, was a patient at the St. Cloud Hospital. On Sunday, December 12, 2010, in the loving presence of family, Doug was called from this life. He was 59 years of age.Surviving family include his mother Eleanor Jensvold of Granite Falls, his son Cody of St. Cloud, his sister Shelly Runia (& special friend Kent Hubert) of Granite Falls, his former wife Marilyn Jensvold of St. Cloud, 3 nephews- Nathan and Ryan Beito of Las Vegas, NV and Derek Engstrom of South Dakota; a brother-in-law Gary Beito of Granite Falls, and several aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Darrell; his sister Judy Beito and his brother-in-law Roger Runia.
