Dorothy Lydia (Ketelsen) Wilson was born September 4, 1919, in Montevideo, the daughter of Hans Frederich & Johanna Ketelsen, the youngest of eight children. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. She attended school in District 10. Dorothy was united in marriage to Lawrence Alfred Wilson on June 1, 1941, in Minneapolis. She cooked for Claire's and the Highway Café in Montevideo and also worked at the Carlson Doll Factory for two years. In 1962 she moved to Downey, California where she worked in the aircraft industry. She returned to Montevideo in 1972. She enjoyed hand craftwork, crocheting, counted cross stitch and plastic canvas. In 2002, Dorothy moved to Kansas City, Missouri to be nearer Kathleen. Dorothy passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Wilshire Nursing Home in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was 90 years of age. She is survived by her children: Kathleen Starkey and Larry; five grandchildren: David, Kimberly, James, Joshua and Jennifer; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in 1967, two sons: Jerry & David, and seven siblings: Louis, George, Bill, Tom, Margaret Wanke, Elsa Koepke and Anita Roggatz.
