Dorothy Ellen Tweeter was born to August and Ella (Dexter) Scheff on Thursday, March 28, 1935 in Benson, Minnesota. She was baptized in Benson and the family worshiped in the Episcopalian Church. Her formal education was studied in the Correll and Benson Schools.
In addition to raising her family, Dorothy worked as a waitress, cook, and bartender in Ortonville; dish- washer and assistant cook at Billy Bob’s in Texas. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards, watching NASCAR and riding motorcycle. She loved to spend time with her family, especially the great grandkids.
Due to her failing health, she became a resident of the Clara City Care Center in early November. Dorothy passed away during the evening hours of Friday, November 14, 2014.
Cherishing her memory are her children and their families of Montevideo: her son Joe Haselius and his wife Mandy, her daughter Doreen Haselius; her grandchildren: Jessica, Lance and Charles; great grandchildren: Kauna and Eli; her sister Virginia and Kenneth Jensen of Correll along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents August and Ella; her siblings Wilber, Warren, Donald and Violet; and her husbands Harold Tweeter and Floyd Haselius.
