Dorothy Elvira Tesnow was born May 9, 1924 in Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Mamie (Strobeen) Norman. She passed away February 29, 2008 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo, Minnesota. She attained the age of 83 years. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Saron Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo. She was raised in Leenthrop Township and attended country school before graduating from Montevideo High School. After high school she worked at the Montevideo canning factory. On January 2, 1945 Dorothy was united in marriage to Harlow Tesnow in Boyd, Minnesota. To this union two children were born. Dorothy and Harlow lived in Boyd for three years before moving back to the Montevideo area. She worked as a legal secretary for Baker Carlson Law Office in Granite Falls for 25 years. Dorothy was a member of the Saron Lutheran Church ladies aid and enjoyed quilting and golf. In their retirement year Dorothy and Harlow spent their winter months golfing in Texas, Arizona, and California. Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Jill (Michael Wolfe) Williams of Portland, Oregon and her son: Dan Tesnow also of Portland, Oregon. Four grandchildren: Kirsten Williams, Troy (Jane) Connor, Anastasia Wolfe, and Maria (Larry Crockett) Wolfe. Great grandchildren: Andrew, Ryan, and Madeline Connor, Jackson Wolfe-Smith and William Wolfe Crockett. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlow in 2007. Brother: Howard Norman and Sister: Alice Schaefer.
